Research

Hunger in America 2010 is the latest comprehensive profile of the incidence and nature of hunger and food insecurity in the U.S. It is the fifth quadrennial study conducted by the Feeding America network. This year has produced the most successful Hunger Study data collection numbers to date.

Due to the greatest network participation ever (185 food banks) and the commitment and dedication displayed by the food bank staff and volunteers, Mathematica has received over 62,000 client surveys and almost 37,000 agency surveys. These impressive numbers will undoubtedly inform the study’s methodological integrity and comprehensiveness.
